Here is a bit of info that helped me lots on my healer... not my original work... props go to Outcasts Hero League for this info

Strategists, also known as healers, are a rare breed skilled in the arts of healing and buffing. With their excellent healing arts and powerful buffs, they are an asset to any party, and are able to handle any pve situation of their level with great ease. With proper equipment, they can grind for long periods without meditating, and their ability to heal their own wounds saves them the unnecessary expenditure on medication. They alone are capable of combating high level bosses without further support, unlike any other role that would find it both difficult and costly to do so. Their martial arts are less damaging than all other classes, and do not deliver any crippling effects. Constitution is hard to build.

Strengths
Best at boss hunting
Best in PvE
Best in earning money
Able to handle dungeon runs without support

Weaknesses
Generally weakest in PvP
Very long buff training time
No powerful debuffs against opponents
Gets the irritating 'buffs pls' very often

Useful Equipment to have
VE absorb hat
Constitution relics

Possible Builds

Melee Healer
This build is geared towards easy grinding, fast leveling, boss hunting and dungeon runs. It is ideal if you are interested in boss hunting and dungeon runs to earn money, and do not wish to engage in PvP at all. Against any build of any other role, this build is incapable of matching them in combat. It is a pushover in PvP, and can be defeated easily by PvP builds 24 or more levels lower. It is on the other hand, unmatched by any other role or build in PvE. This build is capable of handling high level bosses without incurring severe expenses on medication. The need to meditate can be eliminated at higher levels, making leveling a breeze.

Semi-CK Healer
While intending to do well in PvE, semi-ck healers realize the need for PvP capabilities. They take advantage of the heals and buffs that healers possess, at the same time realizing the potential of their chi kung techniques. Being able to defend against both physical and chi kung attacks, and capable of returning decent physical or chi kung damage depending on the weakness of the opponent, these healers are comfortable in both combat and non-combat situations. Compared to their PvE counterparts, they do critical hits less often against mobs, but are no pushovers on the battlefield. Those looking for easy prey in healers will find themselves facing formidable opponents.

CK healer (str/wis)
Ck healers go out to demonstrate that healers are not pushovers in pvp after all. Ck healers (str/wis) present no particular weakness against physical or chi kung attacks, and can engage any role in combat without significant difficulty. Their only weakness is that common to all healers, that of being poorly constituted. Being focused on pvp, this build compromises severely on pve. Leveling would be an uphill task with the lack of dexterity, resulting in low attack rating and frequent misses.

CK healer (PvE)
Ck healers go out to show that healers are not pushovers in PvP after all. Ck healers (PvE) are greatly concerned about dominating the battlefield, but do not wish to give up on the PvE aspect that healers possess. While capable of dealing good damage with good accuracy with their chi kung techniques, they are able to get by when it comes to leveling. However, with only about half the amount of strength that other healers possess, in addition to their poor constitution, this build is vulnerable to heavy physical attacks.

(Warning: this build can be severely messed up if not trained and equipped properly)

Full CK Healer
Full ck healers give nukers a run for their money. They grind and fight very much like nukers do, using only chi kung techniques. Unlike nukers, they have no shields (except beggars); instead, they possess the buffs and healing capabilities of healers, thereby allowing them to last longer in grinding, but not in absorbing great amounts of damage in combat. Without penalties in str, ess and wis, they are able to build respectable def and ck def that no other roles are capable of. These healers are to be feared in very much the way nukers are. (Beggar healers are most suited to take up this build given their shield and nukes.)
