9D [Version 10] Resolution XE | DX XE Bug Report

XE = Xkernel Error
DX = Direct X


Known Dates: Jan 2012
Problem: Display Mode | Resolution
Error: Xkernel Error


Tested Options: Windows

Step Process:


Step 1: Gather information about the bug
Step 2: Provide screen shoots of the bug
Step 3: Tried in both Displayed Modes
Step 4: Uninstalled 9d Launcher
Step 5: Re-installed 9d Launcher
Step 6: Uninstalled Direct 9
Step 7: Re-installed Direct 11


End Note:


* Re-Installation Display Mode/Resolution = Still Blank
* Full Screen Mode shows same Direct 3D Error = New
* Tried loading in different compatible window version
* Doubled checked Direct X version
* Previous Working [Version 7]

Could you please explain the purpose of this thread because to me it looks like a troubleshooting guide or you are attempting to find the issues which affects the client when launched in full screen?

I have a feeling he is showing us how he went about trouble-shooting the different Windows modes with different fixes?

The purpose of the thread is as you stated a trouble shooting guide with attempts to find a solution to
a current issue. It was a known issue that was fixed back in 2012. The above was shown step by step
when trying to launch in either windowed mode or full screen. When all else failed submitted a step by
step process to have others look into a possible solution.

Con' Part II



ICO = Icon


* New Bug ICO/Image Display On Screen/Desktop

After, loading computer today the (ICO) for 9dragons appears to be
either corrupted or image for (ICO) had been removed. This appears
before un-installation & after installation.


How to Fix

Left click (ICO) then go to "open file location"
Left click on (ICO) in folder then "send to"
select desktop. Delete the broken (ICO) then
rename new (ICO) SG 9D.


Step Process:

Step 8: Repeat Steps [2, 3, 4, 5]
Step 9: Uninstalled 9d Launcher
Step 10: Installed Driver I(R) HDG (x64)
Step 11: Restarted Computer
Step 12: Re-installed 9d Launcher
Step 13: Loaded Cam Studio
Step 14: Started 9D Launcher


End Notes:

After, installation of Intel driver the XE DM did not appear however,
screen the Resolution still remains blank.

Con' Part II


This part will be wrapping up the Resolution XE | DX XE Bug Report


What cuase this to happen?

Last few days finally narrowing down the problem to
Resolution & D3D XE error. This is what happened
when updating game! Direct X did not install properly
on [Version 6]! During this process went to download
Direct X from Microsoft. This is where the Direct
X updated to Direct 11. The process did update
however, caused the Resolution to 9 Dragons to
break!!!


Step Process:


Step 15: Found DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer cause issue
Step 16: Back tracked to known Direct X offical installers
Step 17: Repeat Steps [2, 3, 4, 5]
Step 18: Installed Steam [any game]
Step 19: Re-Installed 9d Launcher


How to fix Resolution XE | DX XE

Install Steam

Steam, The Ultimate Online Game Platform (http://store.steampowered.com/about/)


End Notes:


* Installed Steam + [any game]
* XE DM Kernel [Fixed]
* XE TC [Fixed]
* Display Mode/Resolution [Fixed]
