aging low lv gear is a waste. Even without exp events your getting 5-10 lvs a week til 7x. Whats the point of wasting a few hours aging maturing sheltim gaining when that same time you could get new stuff?

    just speaking out of experience.
with my prs for instance im on a holy gaunt, holy boot, wing bracelet build untill high 8x
and aging those is actually worth it.

also just aging to 6 aint that expensive and getting like +7 abs just from your subgear at low lvls helps alot with training.

and thats the reason for my opinion, that going into higher maps earlier is worth it now.
at low lvls you also can get better npc food this way.

Also dont underestimate how difficult it is for lvls up to 6x to actually get the right equip for your lvl.
If you dont have a highlvl char to hunt stuff youre on your own and there are very few people selling stuff below 7x ATM on awell and i doubt its better on other servers.
So even for ata who doesnt have a build for low lvl subgear, aging the one you have will help you to stay ahead.

I can tell u this im a fairly new warrior only lvl 50 and had a hard time getting gears on Awel for my warrior due to the fact that no 1 rlly sells low lvl stuff but mostly lvl 80+ things i do however recommend uc1 and uc2 for lvl 40-55 eventhough headcutters may be a bit rough in the beginning in uc1 and the mummies in uc2 aint that much better until u get descent defence. but this is a grind game so though it out and u will get their id say

Summary of the reasons no one sells low level gear are:
    1. It's not profitable
    2. Wastes Inventory space. No picking them up.
    3. Everyone probably got higher level chars to fund them anyway, why bother to sell?

Anyways, why no one wants to go Cave PT/ice1/ice2 and have parties there anymore? Anyways, I'm still stuck at 97, and is a f**king pain to level. LoC parties are random. Sometimes they have parties, but it's full 99% of the time. The rest of the time it's EMPTY.Sometimes they don't allow to use Golem. That sucks cuz I can't tank too much there which results in me dying there often as well. Sometimes the Knight in the party got lazy and doesn't cast HV. Iron2 HS lessens the chance of dying BUT depends if there's too many people taking up the spawn. (Most of the time it is, doesn't matter whether Alpha or Beta). Hence I pretty stuck at Ice1/Ice2 solo most of the time which sucks cuz Frozen kept freezing me (plus afew other mobs).

    Any recommendations?

Yes, my recommendation would be to learn how to use Compulsion...

Yup. A typical problem. If you can survive in Ice Cave (Kelv Lair) then just lvl there. Way more DB and CC to kill gaining you a heck of a lot more experience. You can stick to a corner in Alpha and it is great. Use Golem all you want. And as Exarchia is saying...Completion is a great skill when frozen. Once you learn its benefits it will become your best skill besides GS.

Another suggestion that I used was go to the back of LOC. There are some hills that spawn 1 or 2 mobs far enough apart that you only get one. You can use Golem cause if the first mob spawn gets bugged you can go to the second mob spawn.
And other players won't be the wiser and if they come and ask you to Put Golem away (never happened to me) just ignore them. It's our defence and we are allowed to use it as we see fit.

I wouldn't go to a spawn next to other players and start using Golem...especially when we all know it bugs Loc. But if you go to the back of Loc, probably no one would ever be the wiser. It was a favorite hunting spot of mine.

I can try fighting in Ice Cave, but every time I draw too many mobs to me (using Complusion) and results in a KO.. Mostly I always try 1 v 1. Admittedly my equips isn't good, having only 108 abs with compulsion (using Spear) nor I using a super godly spear (80C Spear) [Is that lower than normal range of abs nowadays?]. I don't have PA + MA to gain more abs, cuz I'm using MAXI..

In LoC, sometimes I solo next to entrance, but the annoying 2 archers will somehow appear and KOs me..

By back of LoC, do u mean the area near to the Lost Temple?

In Alpha Cave, I would stay at the entrance. This way when I lured too many mobs, you can run up towards the entrance. Some mobs would run away. Claw and Shield makes it a lot easier. Plus I use Spark Shield, which regens HP/MP everytime you get hit. This probably made it easier for me.

As for Loc, I colored a dot on the map where I would go solo. I know what you mean by double archers. They easier as you get better gear...2 used to make me run, but now 4 is manageable. Again, I would carry claw and shield as well and when double archers spawn, I would switch to claw and shield and summon golem. And let Golem tank one.

This spot on the map, I never got harrassed by anyone when I used Golem. There is a really long incline, and there are 3 Mob spawns. All of them are faqr enough apart that if you play it well, you never lure more than one spawn on you at a time. But if your spawn dies, you can quickly move to the next spawn (but watch your back if the first spawn comes alive again).

Good Luck. I am free to give more advice as I can. I know how frustrating it can be soloing as a Mech. One of my bestest PT friends is also a Mech, so him and I would do really well in these areas. Plus he is 5 Levels higher than me, so he would do a lot of the tanking for us. But I did have to solo a lot also.

With that being said, one of the best soloing spots was the Mega HS in Iron 2. Sometimes I would have to camp it for an hour to find it open...but I have noticed lately it doesn't seem to get used as much. You don't get as much XP per kill, but you can kill each mob really easily. And the mana drops usually are so frequent that I never have to buy mana. And HP and Stamina Drops are good also, making trips to Town a lot less frequent. If the spawn is full, you can kill on the lower level until the spawn opens up.

Why not have ES instead of spark shield? Will block % help? BTW I think when you said new gear, does that refer to 100 ones? Looks like I have to use compulsion more often to include more mobs... I would also like to know it's the right time to add HP, and how long I can go pure (w/o additional points into HP)

I am still a pure Mech at lvl 103. I can train in ET3 as a Pure Mech. ES does add block %, but the reason I went Spark was good when in Huge Mobs. The mobs hitting me would actually give me HP and MP just standing there.
I am at a point now, that I may switch to ES seeing as I pretty much go 1 vrs 1 against mobs.

I use Completion every time a new mob spawns as Completion bugs a lot of the mobs in PT in different ways.
It stops some mobs from freezing you.
It stops some mobs from casting certain spells against you.
An example is some mobs casting spells do no damage, only there physical attacks.
A CC does not drain your mana when you use completion on her.

Better gear....sure lvl 100 Gear....and Aged as High as you can afford. Remember Aging 100 Items does not affect the lvl requirement to wear it. Aged +10 is still lvl requirement of 100.

Being Pure I tried to take on Kelvesu in Alpha Cave. With VL I was able to tank Kelv's (tail section) He would do approx. 60% damage to me. So I had to pot every time he hit me. When he turned to face me, I had to pot between every grand smash because he likes too do double hits which can easily kill me when he is doing 60% damage per hit.

I may add HP though so he doesn't do that much damage to me, making it easier to fight him and not die.
