    Default Priston Tale Ban Policies

I am currently in the process of writing up a new ban policy section for Priston Tale that ecompasses as much information as possible. Naturally this will take days, weeks and heck maybe even a month to complete. This will constantly remain updated and players will not be aloud to post in here. If any discussion is to be made about it, I will have a Forum Mod create an Official Stickied Thread where player's can talk about it. Please stay tuned for future updates.

We do not take any action against any player base off of anecdotal evidence. Any image or video that has been alter in any way will be decline, such as corp images & videos.

    -----

Personally, I really don't care about Kill-Stealing since it's part of all MMORPG. Conflict being generated is also a mechanic of MMORPG to promote PvP which this game doesn't really have. But in PT like any MMORPG, the players should be able to share a spot without any conflict, but I guess those days are long gone for the PT community.

    Official Jera Ban Policy

It has been decided by Suba Management that the following disciplinary actions will be taken to those who we felt went above and beyond to exploit this bug. The following should be noted:

    • The following rules are final and can not and will not be debated
    • The following policies are hereby not limited to just Jera Exploitation but to all future item exploitations of this nature
    • We kindly ask that all players read VERY carefully through this in-depth guide to our policy in order to understand everything

    Jeras Exploited
    Penalty
2 - 50 The respective player will have their respective amount of Jeras removed
50 - 99 The respective player will have their respective amount of Jeras removed as well as receive a temporary ban lasting 7 days
100 - 249 The respective player will have their respective amount of Jeras removed as well as receive a temporary ban lasting 1 month
249 - 500 The respective player will have their respective amount of Jeras removed as well as receive a temporary ban lasting 3 months
500+ The respective player will have their respective amount of Jeras removed as well as receive a permanent ban

The Spider Web Law (The Additive Rule)

The Additive Rule, or what I personally like to call, The Spider Web Law, is something that was not conveyed properly to the community and as such created loads of confusion. This was a rule implemented to deal with accomplices who helped known exploiters move Jeras around accounts and characters, which in turn created a longer tracking process making our jobs very hard. This also caused the servers of Priston Tale to remain in Emergency Lock Down for longer then would have been necessary. As a result we developed this. Please read below for a thorough explanation of how the Spider Web Law Works.

    Spider Web Law - Scenario
    Culprit: Person A
    Accomplice: Person B
    Extra Accomplice: Person C

Person A exploits 250 Jeras. Assuming no assistance, this person receives a 3 month ban.
Person B exploits 100 Jeras. Assuming no assistance, this person receives a 1 month ban.
Person C exploits 70 Jeras. Assuming no assistance, this person receives a 7 day ban.

Person A attempts to hide 20 Jeras on Person B's account. Person B decides to move 10 of those Jeras to Person C's account. So currently our "Jeras In Possession" count stands at the following:
    Person A: 230 Jeras
    Person B: 110 Jeras
    Person C: 80 Jeras

Our current "Root System" looks like this now:
    • Person A (Root Exploiter)
    • Person B (Accomplice to Person A)
    • Person C (Accomplice to Person B)

The natural assumption here is that the bans listed previously would be given according to how much each individual person exploited. This is not the case with the Spider Web Law. What happens here is that anyone involved in the process of moving any amount of Jeras knowingly from one exploiter to another through any means has their Jera totals added with the other person to create a CUMULATIVE AMOUNT. Let's continue and see how our scenario plays out. Applying our previous knowledge to the Spider Web Law this happens:

Person A originally exploited 250 Jeras resulting in a 3 month ban. However, Person A attempted to hide 20 of those 250 Jeras on Person B's account. The Spider Web Law kicks in and now because Person B exploited 110 Jeras they have those Jeras added to Person A's total and vice versa. This is the harsh penalty that both players suffer for knowingly passing around exploited Jeras.
    110 + 230 = 340 Our new totals & bans stand at:
    Person A: 340 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.
    Person B: 340 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.
    Person C: 80 Jeras - This person receives a 7 day ban.

"But what about Person C", you cry? You can naturally assume what's going to happen here. Even though Person C had no prior knowledge of who Person A was, Person C still aided Person B in knowingly moving exploited Jeras, and by now I'm sure you understand what that means. The Spider Web Law kicks in again. Person B's Jeras get added to Person C and vice versa.

    340 + 80 = 420 Our new totals & bans stand at:
    Person A: 340 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.
    Person B: 420 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.
    Person C: 420 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.

Hold on though, we can't forget about Person A can we? He may not have known Person C but he supplied exploited Jeras to Person B who in turn supplied those Jeras (whether the exact same ones or not) to Person C. Person C's original Jeras get added to Person A's current total.

    340 + 80 = 420 Our FINAL totals & bans stand at:
    Person A: 420 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.
    Person B: 420 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.
    Person C: 420 Jeras - This person receives a 3 month ban.

This is how the Spider Web Law/Additive Rule works. The Jera's exploited get moved down the chain until the final culprit who assisted with the transferring/trading/dropping & picking up/selling/buying of those Jeras is found. The punishment gets extended across all the involved people. People are definitely going to disagree with this, but it is the only way to refrain the passing around of Jeras between players during an emergency of this status. Give people a harsh penalty for assistance and all of a sudden you get a lot less accomplices and more straight exploiters. In addition to this, all accounts, both Suba Games and PT1, are banned for the respective amount of time. Example: If Person A has TWO SEPERATE Suba Games accounts, BOTH are banned for the same amount of time.

    Previous Exploiters

In the event that you were found previously exploiting this bug and were punished appropriately, you can rest assured that your punishment carries over to the next. From my last investigation I found that certain players had a hard time learning their lesson once and decided that it would be intelligent to attempt to exploit the bug once more. Of course, without a doubt these were the first people to be checked. Let's me give a quick scenario of what happens to a previous exploiter below.

    Previous Exploiter - Scenario
Step 1: Person A exploits 100 Jeras during a seperate occasion of the bug's occurence. A permanent record is filed on the player and he/she receives their respective ban period of 1 month.
Step 2: Person A is found exploiting 200 Jeras during a second seperate occasion. An investigation is conducted on the player's file and it is found that Person A was indeed a previous exploiter.
Step 3: The Spider Web Law still applies as it normally does punishing any new accomplices Person A may have had but along with this Person A's previous record is added to his new record

100 + 200 = 300 Jeras exploited in total from previous and fresh occurences. Instead of receiving a 1 month ban for the new occurence the player has now accumulated a 3 month ban.
