Question about pikes with shields

I am curious about the pikes I see with shields and claws.
Is it for training/leveling or just for the looks ? Or PVP ?

When you need to tank something you switch to a shield, Because it has defence, abs and Block rating.

Pikes use them for looks. They don't attack with claws (or other 1 handed weapons).

it's for tanking but it's much better to use pole or sword than claw more block rate will happen

why more block rate ?
with Q100 claw, they add HP too :-/
for me, i use jav XD
