    Whether someone understands it or not, there are people who aren't going to. I definitely screwed this up in AG, and skilled the wrong thing in hopes that I could doc on other classes at an earlier level. It's not horrible and can be at least remedied with a reskill, but in comparison to the clear descriptions of most of the other skills/features in the game-this needs to be on par with that. Good suggestion, motion seconded.

    I know I'm necroing an older post but I think this is an important suggestion especially for new players. In the context of equipping a weapon "use" is definitely a synonym; It would not be incorrect to walk up to someone and say may I use your spear for a moment? Without knowing the full context (which a new player would not) you would think this would allow you to use a spear.

    100% agree on description change and making the equip skill needed to level it up.

    Example:

    Now

    Spear Mastery Lv1
    Allows spears to be used regardless of
    job at 5% of their full strength.

    Requirement for using:
    NeedSpear

    Learn Spear Mastery Lv1
    Level required: 11 Points required: 2

    Suggestion:

    Spear Mastery Lv1
    Increases the proficiency of spears by 5%
    of their full strength regardless of job
    (Capped at 100%).

    Requirement for using:
    NeedSpear

    Learn Spear Mastery Lv1
    Level required: 11 Points required: 2
    Skill required: Equip Spear Lv1

    This definitely shouldn't require you to have the Equip Weapon Skill.

    This would hinder Mercenaries using Swords, sabers and daggers, and Witch Doctors from using wands at full power.

    But yes, the skills could use a bit better localization and clarification.

    The Mercenary part is right, but the Witch Doctor part isn't. Wands don't have a Mastery, because spells don't suffer from proficiency penalties like melee weapons do.

    Ah I get the point you're trying to make actually it would be better without the equip requirement (or exclude sword, saber, dagger and possibly wand) but definitely needs a description change
