Thread: Casino night shortened :c

Appreciate the response GM and personally I'm disheartened because I didn't intend to spend my snowballs until the last moments of when I expected the NPC's to go down. So now I'm kind of stuck with all these snowballs and nothing to do with them until whenever you think is "really soon" for another casino night. I hope you can understand this sort of frustration. (I'm not going around in broadcast complaining either, I just would really be grateful if the NPC got like one more hour of showtime tomorrow or something)

We can understand that some people are disappointed with it going down early and for that we apologize. We would like to do another Casino Night really soon and have the event run for even longer. However please realize that we had this event run for more than 5 hours which is a lot longer than Aeria Games ever did and we gave you guys more than 2 weeks notice. The amount of complaining we've received for this event is rather concerning and not only is it disheartening but it is ruining it for everyone else who is trying to have fun due to all the complaining in broadcast.
    Just ignore the complainers

I mean, I'm a serious complainer in general and casino night was the best event you've had so far

Bring on the monthly Casino nights, I say. Shake up the prizes though, otherwise the re-skill market will be forever flooded (Not as if that's complexly a bad thing)

Please don't think for a second that a lot of us aren't grateful for the event. I had a great time even if I wasn't able to get as much as my peers lol I was still able to get everything I needed. I definitely say keep the pteles, go anywheres, reskills, and restats for next time Hopefully you can add a really great P/T set for the next one *cough* like Nicole and Seth *cough* Also please keep the snowball prices the same they were great

The community as whole whines too much, i really feel sorry for the gm's. please do not listen to them gm, you cannot make everyone happy. i'm glad you put the casino up for so long, and yes it was for way longer then aeria ever did, if i remember they only ran it for about 2 hours every week/or other week.

i personally think you guys are doing an awesome job, especially in communicating with the community. keep up the good job o.ob

Totally agree with Zaffie and the previous posts!

I was happy as heck when i saw the Casino Night announcement in the August Event Calendar and started gambling and collecting snowballs right away. I myself don't mind short delays that much, it's natural and can happen (academic quarter ) . Guys you really did a great job making this event happening, thank you so much for it!

Maybe player misunderstood the use of the event a bit; its not meant to collect snowballs during the event (ofc you can) - it just gives the opportunity to exchange the snowballs for good prizes during that time.

Guess i can say i did it right; i was trading in all snowballs during the first 2 hours for stuff i wanted/needed, and kept gambling the remaining time. The snowballs i couldn't trade in at the end (which aren't many) got stored on my alt for the next time. Nothing to complain about \o/

That's because you haven't heard the wonderful compliments everyone else was saying. Ignore the whiners, the majority of the community appreciated that casino night regardless of the error.
-hands you a flower- Just keep thinking happy thoughts~ please do another casino night

Lmao. You guys had over a 2 weeks or so to get ready for this event. This event was far the best thing that has ever happened in this DoMO version.

I mean it wasn't a huge deal for me and I'm glad you did the event and plan to do it again but this is some back-peddaling here. You can't say you understand and then make excuses. When something ends abruptly without warning when a time is promised, it's pretty disheartening. The fact of the matter is, yes players could have gotten snowballs earlier and maybe it did last longer (but mind you, many players are unavailable during many of those hours and aeria to my knowledge tended to have better event hours and/or they planned to buy everything at the end), but you guys did make an error. I don't know why it would be that concerning, but then I've seen people complain about some pretty dumb things here. I also don't see how it ruined it for everyone else. People only complained for about an hour maybe and even then, if most of those "everyone elses" got what they wanted, they were probably happy, but ending early (and starting late), kind of ruined it for a lot of people too who were trying to have fun. I mean in those 40 minutes you could probably go through, what? 400 tokens? Part of the reason for this thread was so people could make their statements here instead, but just because people complain doesn't mean they aren't necessarily grateful, and mind you, maybe it's a sort of misconception, but a lot of people expect that the gms will interact and host events anyways as advertised. Anyways, thanks for doing casino night, hope you'll announce another one soon.

Instead of complaining they can give analysis of the positive and negative of the event and raise issues so t doesn't happen again. Here is a quick summary.
    Positive:
Casino Night - Was well accepted by everyone and had positive reviews, hence we should do this again. Check!
Event notice - Facebook notice and forum notice. Check! Feedback: Probably announce a PAS once or twice a week for people who don't check these forums or social media.

    Negatives:
    Delayed
    Event ended early
Feedback - Do a test run so the NPC doesn't glitch on the day.
